Two pictures made with my Jupiter 12/Biogon: glasses from 1943, KMZ serial number from 1952, CLAed by a specialist. The distance ring was too stiff. Now, it's a pleasure.
Quite happy by the results: the Jup 12 is really a marvelous lens. A bit less by the body I use: I have to clean this old Fed S. Sometimes, the second shutter sticks and it is often too lazy...

A sea of mist, very early in the morning (in the Pyrénées mountains).
Always with the Fed S and the Biogon/Jup.

Jacques, I just found these and they are beautiful! I especially like the last one. Wish I could visit such a place.
I read a little post where someone was not impressed by the Jupiter 12, and even warned not to get one, but I see these photos and think the writer was more the problem ;)

Sorry, I had not seen the posts.
And thanks!

The two first photos were taken at 100m from my home; the last one at Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, a misty april morning. With the sun, the mist had disappeared some minutes later.

I must say I have no real merit: my lenses are perfect. The viewfinder too: it's better than my Leica IIIg's. With such a combination, it's a great pleasure to shoot, so, impossible to miss a picture...

Jacques.

This looks great!
Do you remember which aperture you used?
Was this normal color- or slide film?

When I find the time I must upload my FED-photos too but I don't have any scanning equipment right now.

Regards,
Christian

It was a Kodak Gold film, 200 ISO.
Aperture: f5,6, speed 1/200th for the last photo.
Directly scanned without any correction, of course!

Jacques.

Great photos from France. Indeed that J-12 is a small but amazing lens. I have a Black version from 1973.

I am using it on a Zorki 4K from 1977, overhauled with a new shutter curtain. So far perfect working. Since a short time I have a FED 5b from 1990 too.

Cordialement,

Robert

OK!
Another one, always with the same body/lens.
But you are responsible!
