i found this :"Commemorative version of the Fed 2d, issued in 1967 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the October Revolution. Actually just a commemorative box, since both the camera and the lens shows no evidence of commemorative inscriptions or logos."
Is it a handmake logos?

cinasure posted this image on a Chinese forum. I recommended this forum to him(her?) as we have some experienced collectors here. I would also like to know the answer.:-)
Thanks,

Hello!
Welcome! About this camera, probably the engravings are a little too large, comparing with the two anniversary cameras I possess. Perhaps too we could say that all should be in red (and less new!) But the main point is that this camera is a Fed 2b dating of 1956 or 1957. Really, we are far from 1967, the year of the 50th anniversary... The lens seems not to be a good one: it should be a white F410 26M prefixed "67", or a zebra F 421, always prefixed 67.
If it can help... Amitis. Jacques. |

thanks a lot!!
we(zhang & me) are also suspicious of the serial no. that range of "fed-2 (b) 1956-1958 #095.000-#475.000"...
but this logo is so lovely indeed.....
thanks again..

I forgot... Another main thing is that this engraving can be observed only on Fed 3b and 4b. As far as I know!

dear all:
i bought this body recently。i'm really comfused by this logo.
Of cos it was said 5Октябрь never been engraved on FED2. but i saw this exquisite engraving seeming not a handwork.
maybe it's a mysterious type or made by an expert DIYer.
However this one is very very intersting and rarity, isn't it?
thanks

" but i saw this exquisite engraving seeming not a handwork. "
no, no...you know it is very easy to engrave like this ...that is the reason it is so thick drawing ( like also on camera serial number and "fed" name) I agree whith jacques and even I possess some fakes whith that kind of writing , so large in lines)

Now I recall that I have seen some fake Leicas with very fine engravings like this. So it would not be very difficult to do with a Fed-2.
