About Tom Yeshuah Zorki in the the Gillette commercial.
I saw it when exposed at first time but I had no conclusion about which camera it was. Today I was decided to determine which camera really it was.. It is a Zorki 4 from the firsts series with Cirillic inscript. Here is the proof:: The first picture is directly taken from the vídeo. The second one is a well enlarged part of the same picture The third one is a comparison between Zorki 3 and Zorki 4 inscripts because the number model can’t be seen. Inscript Zorkii equals 4 model - but differs from 3C(3S) model. In the bottom raw the same enlarged part of the picture compared to a Zorki 4 with the same size with the hand of the man over the câmera. His hand effectively covers the self timer and its button trigger.
If you look closely, the self-timer of the Zorki-4 is quite a bit to the left of the bottom screw on the front of the body. The mans finger would not be covering it... and so I believe Tom and Zoom are correct in that it is a Zorki-3C.
In Luiz's bottom right photo, where he has placed the mans hand over a photo of a Zorki-4, the placement is not the same as in the video ... Luiz has placed the hand over to the left more than in the video shot, as can be seen by looking at the straight chrome edge of the lens mount.
Also, when I enlarged the video shot to full size and highest resolution on my computer, it was pretty clear that there were two digits ( "3C" ) between the rangefinder and viewfinder windows, not one digit ("4") ... but I don't know how to get the screen shot of what I saw.
Excuse me Bill I am sure about my observation. but you did not observed in the script style of Zorki which is definitively found only on Zorki 4 series. You cannot affirm there are two digits in the space between the two windows, but only a "noise". You can't read the "4" neither the "3" or "C". But.. Please expose your documental research. my best LP
