Our friend Massimo Bertacchi from Italy brings us a prototype of Zorki 3 (large covering slow speed button) made probably in 1952 (body 06179) with a pre-run Industar61LD from 1992 (lens 9200006) developed for the future FED-6 cameras. Two pre-run items of different vintage.

Looks like an interesting combination that Massimo has assembled! Very interesting and maybe takes some nice photos using the newer lens on the old camera.

The lens is very rare and was probably made for the FED 6 TTL camera. The prototype FED 6 TTL cameras known all have these lenses, although with slight cosmetic design variations to the outside focusing grips. Below are two photos of the lenses that I have that are in this small series and came with the two FED 6 TTLs that I was lucky enough to buy several years ago .. they have lenses No. 9200001 and No. 9200003 and the largest number of these lenses I have seen is No. 9200010 (also pictured, but not mine).

Extra informations:
The set was bought in 2004 at a street fair in Milan.
Judging the back painted number 110213 this cameras should be owned by any of the several governamental bureaux in Russia, or Ukraine,

I would like to know if there is an existing list of all known FED 6 TTL Serial Numbers ?

My FED 6 was also purchased a short time after Bill bought his. My camera came with an attrape (Dummy) Lens with a serial number of 9100004. The focus helical operates nowever there is no diaphragm mechanism within the lens.

I would be curious to know if there are any more made this way.

After seeing that I61L/D in the NICE focus mount, I'm thinking it's time to buy one and remount it in a spare Canon 50/2.8 LTM focus mount that I have.

I've also made them into Contax mount, using a collapsible mount from the Zeiss 5cm F2 pre-war lens.

Dear Luiz,

I wouldn't like to call this camera prototype or even preseries indeed ... The particular camera #03179 was made in 1953 I think. At least 3 precedent versions of Zorki-3 camera are known to exist. An earliest known camera with special slow speeds disk has serial number #00098!

Let me show you the 1st productional version of the particular camera. My camera #00031 was originally fitted with ZK Zorki lens ...

Only goes to show you how many "proto", or "pre" series cameras were made. My "early" Zorki 3 is #03110, pictured in the WIKI.
