About 3 years ago when I just started collecting the Soviet cameras I was overwhelmed with all the information on the subject and was buying up incredible quantities of cameras, every single different model that I could find. A year or so in retrospect when I started to more or less slow down after acquiring more than 200 cameras in less than a year, I started my own organizing and classification of what I had.
During that time, I had gotten in my head that I have seen a black GOMZ Moment for sale. But I thought I've either dreamed of it or maybe have just simply imagined it. Never seen it again, never kept any pictures and could not find any mentions of it anywhere. But deep down I thought I have seen it. Couple of years passed, the black Moment was haunting me, it was my flying Dutchman. And finally today thanks to our dear friend and adventurer in all things Soviet camera related - Aidas Pikiotas I have stumbled upon.....
We are all sick, and from this wonderful incurable thing! So many good friends, so much "new" information, so many swaps: all I wished for! And I have still some nice "Jewel" surprises to come, just wait a few days...
Happy to confirm, that you are not crazy indeed BTW Just yesterday my family came back from 1 week vacation in Turkey. Afterall my kids and wife are the same colour as my black Moment camera ... .
