It was a combination of Zork, Kiev and Exakta with Contax bayonet mount. Introduced the combined view-finder with large base range finder, together diopter ajustment. Double dials of speed selections: 1-1/25 and 1/50 - 1/2000; two synchronizing posts and automatic release, removable back cover. "Jupiter-8" lens. Only a small number of prototypes were made.

A very interesting camera, alas never produced.
The Princelle says that the Zorki 3 was preferred: less expensive to make...

Thanks, Luiz, for the rear part of that camera!

Jacques.

No, I had not.
The comparison with other contemporaneous cameras is exciting.
If we go farther, I should add the Nikon S which has a Contax bayonet mount and a Leica type shutter. Exactly like the TSVVS.

Thanks for that, Luiz!

Jacques.

Thanks Luiz for this detailed technical analysis! Very interesting to see how your tie different models together. It's very interesting that KMZ had tried numerous times to introduce contax-type mount into their cameras and every time the cheaper (M39) solution was picked over it. So in the end Arsenal was the only factory monopolizing the "technology" if we're not considering the unknown origin of the TSVVS cameras.. to tell you the truth I think maybe this unknown camera you call TSVVS-2 is more of a Leningrad-2, a logical progression of that particular line .

Cheers,
Vlad.
