Hello! My name is Daniel and I come from Spain.
At this moment I own 50 classic cameras, among them a few Soviets.
Apart from the FED-2, Zorki 4 and Zorki 6 edited in my website (https://sites.google.com/site/fromthefocalplanetoinfinity/), I have a Kiev 4, Zorki 10, Zenit E and FED-5B waiting to be published (but it's taking a lot of time!). As you can see, those are typical beginner's Soviet cameras, I don't consider myself much a Soviet camera collector as a general camera collector.
Perhaps my only true Soviet collectable is the book by Isaak Maizenberg in English (https://sites.google.com/site/fromthefocalplanetoinfinity/books), about which I've read that it's hard to get. There was a PDF version available at http://cccp.alien-planet.net/, but sadly that site no longer exists. Nevertheless, I still have the PDF file if anyone is interested in it.
It's amazing to log in on this forum and meet so many known collectors. I already know some of you for your excellent websites: Aidas, Guido, Luiz, Ulrich, Yuri, Nathan, Jay... To them I would want to thank for all your excellent work. By the way, I already signed the petition for Alex Komarov even before I registered here.

I also hope to see more Soviet cameras in my site, but as I said it's taking a lot to edit all my cameras. I'm currently dealing with a Contax D that will keep me busy for a while. :-) |
