Hello Jacques
From my limited data of 34 lenses, #34376 is the latest # with smaller engraving, with pins. #34521 has larger engraving, with pins. #34942 has larger engraving, latest # with pins #35975 has larger engraving, earliest # without pins.
So it seems no connection between larger engraving and pins.
(Also note different positions of colon and comma in each engraving)
Cheers, Geoff |

#36310 larger engraving, with black filling, more to outer side of front ring than in absolute center
But what are the pins?
Best regards, Juhani |

Thanks, Juhani.
Pins: the two small vertical screws on the crown, to help the owner to screw the lens on the body. There are pins too on the first 50mm rigid macro.

No pins on mine, neither the #14049 macro. Stupid to leave them away.
Best regards, Juhani |
