Hi, Just got a 1949 Kiev II. Too bad a ribbon broke after 2 exposures... Here's some pictures I took of the inside while replacing the ribbon. I know some of you are highly interested ;) Shutter number is 4024. Best, Jean

A lot of Dresden parts, as it seems: finder, speed mechanism... And a number on the shutter box not far from the serial number. What do these LG letters on the reverse of the upper plate mean ?
Thanks for these photos, Jed.
Amitiés. Jacques. |

I also have a 1951 Kiev II top plate apart - the letter "S" is engraved instead. |

Jed,
really nice find :-) Have you removed the film pressure plate to see if there is something written under on the back?
