Bought this bag on Ebay (sellers picture).
Imported into the UK in the early 80's by Technical & Optical Equipment Ltd.
Note the straight stitching

| Same bag here, but the stitching is better. It came with a Zenit 12XP (cyrillic version) bought by a Dutch student living in Russia in the early 90'. |

As far as I know, TOE was allowed to add the Helios-badge even to items they bought "outside USSR".
Eg there is several Helios-lenses in M42m which are made in Japan, and badged for TOE.

I think quality control was lacking when they stitched mine!

And here is a set of those Japanese TOE-Helios lenses, look at the font of the text on lens cap, TOE-type...

Yes,I think the text is slightly out of alignment. At least one thing it's certainly not a Gucci designer bag! |

That's exactly why I bought it Sean
I normally use a cheap ex army £5 off ebay small shoulder rucksack for my cameras for that exact reason.
