Best regards, Juhani |

What is the exact place of this Zenit in the production? Sure, it's the s/n 6. I suppose it belongs to the second prototypes, by the Princelle?
Thanks. Jacques. |

Yes... Thanks, Juhani. Here is the s/n 00010 of the same 2nd proto series, on levonsa's site: http://ussrcameras.ru/catalog/187 Seems as a sister of this s/n 0006. Princelle had already shown this same s/n 00010 (by the s/n of the lens)in his book.
Amitiés. Jacques. |

Does anyone know what is the purpose of that second window on the back of the camera beside the finder? Nathan |

This is the window to an interior shutter speed dial (a similarly design was in the ZENIT-L project, see http://www.zenitcamera.com/archive/zenit-1/zenit-l.html).
It was a good idea, but it would be better to bring the image of the installed shutter speed right into the viewfinder... It's possible, although a very little space is there. Unfortunately, the lower cost price won... |

Very well noted by Zoom. Although in Zenit L the top dial is not rotating as in prototype 00006, once it follows Contax S pressure coupling system Regards LP |

The lens is an I-22 for macro outfit produced by KMZ. There were also R-Helios-2 and Industar-49 in this outfit.
Price is very high, but I'm glad the buyer is not an unknown rich guy. |

Pictures are on the book of Dr. Mladek, so I don't think I have the autorisation to publy them.
R-Helios-2 is a 45mm/2 (I have the technical version here http://pierretizien-photos.blogspot.fr/p/r-helios-2.html ) Industar-49 is a 25mm/3.5 macro lens. |
