I show now two cameras Born from Zenit E bodies: The first one is a simple Zenit E with a removed exposure meter in which was placed a light scale directly imported from Seagull 203. Like the next Picture, On it was added a hot shoe at the normal place, and a Contax S style leather covered pentaprism hood. Renamed Zenit EK.
and an Ace of Clubs at the prism head and a 35/70 Topman Zoom lens. The second one, also a Black model Zenit E derivative, called Zenit EKB, which also sports the same Ace of Clubs insígnia, and same changes is a much more elaborated object having a flat turret plate for three lenses at the style of the old Italian Rectaflex Rotor or the Start Turret.
Together three lenses: Rikenon 2.8/ 50mm Magnon auto zoom 3.5/4.5 – 28/50mm and a Marexar 8X Zoom 4.5/ 80-200mm. Both câmeras came with a built-in automatic diaphragm operator. Also came witha handle and a shoulder support . both cameras came in a fitted case.
Just looking at these three cameras with their three lens contraptions is making my arms ache, I wonder how many people actually bought and used them hand-held?
