Hello guys,

As vintage Soviet cameras are becoming harder to collect, I started a new hobby, military scopes. Like precision cameras, these are also fascinating to look at. Here is a well made soviet scope together with its Chinese counterpart, the green one on the left. Do you also collect Soviet military precision gears?

Cheers,

Zhang

Hi Zhang,

Nice scopes. I don't collect them, but I do have several pairs of Soviet military binoculars, including an early pair made by VOOMP in 1934. Here are photos ... the other pair have a factory logo that I am not familiar with. Both pairs have their cases too, which I didn't show.

Hi Bill

These are very nice scopes. I also have a few pairs of Russian binoculars. I think they are on par with Zeiss or other brand name ones. One of them was made in 1938, and another B6 was made in 1944.

Here is the logo of above military scope.

Cheers,

Zhang

Zhang,
The logo seems to have the KMZ prism at the bottom, but looks like without the arrow through it, so dating it to about 1942 to 1948.
