i have technical details. its a sensational tiny swinglens-cam but i suspect imagequality is not good enough. it is shooting over a mirror. or too expensive or delicat.
but panofot d3 could be the new digital swinglens-camera. lets hope it is not too slow. roundshot d3 e.g is too slow and inferior for very large panorama-posters. above all for non-still-subjects. seitz will no be very amused above my statement. but we must be honest. short rotation can only be achieved by altering ISO. high iso/asa resulting in inferior image-quality than film.

Michael, the d3 - is it planned to be manufactured by KMZ? Where can we read about it?

See a list there: http://www.zenitcamera.com/catalog/cameralist-eng.html
It was the offer made by KMZ R&D Center (not by the Horizon authors), dated June 2007. This offer has been rejected. Works on panoramic cameras were entrusted to Horizon design office.

This is the last published news. The publication of all subsequent plans has been forbidden...

I see, thanks Zoom!

Now a related question to Zoom as well, have you been in this KMZ conference room? I'm very curious whether there is anything interesting on these shelves:

There is the cameras collection... Mainly: a serial cameras (not all) and lenses (far from the whole number), but some prototypes are there too... Nothing sensational.

panofot-d3(for digital version) is deleted
panart-s3 could be new name for new production of horizon s3-pro.swinglens 120 degr.analogue
i need one with perfect lens(from 8 to 16) set to infinity. why? if lens is set nearer we have better DOF, but: if lens is set to infinity of hyperfocal to get sharp infinity also at 2.8 we could use 0.5 dpt closeuplens(custom made) and get enough DOF in the foreground. for standard use add 0.25 dpt(contact lens-adaptation). best optical quality was from 8 to 16 (horizon 202) s3-pro had/has sharpness problem at aperture 16. for those who do not see and do not want to see: very sharp 24 x58mm film can be enlarged very big. rainer k. lampinen, cocreator of horizon 202 , creator of technopan(luxury version with 8 exposure times) told me that 6m long poster had been made using velvia.

panofot-d3 not deleted, just down in the list.
digital version of swinglens? horizon
horizon s3-pro-new production could have new name: panart-s3
good idea. s3-pro, although most perfect horizon was under a bad star due to the lens-problem. aperture 16 not perfectly sharp like in horizon 202. s3-pro-name is not listed anymore, just hidden under horizon 203(s3)

I know only five the Horizon-202 creators: V.I. Andrianov, V.A. Kashulin, S.M. Tikhomirov and V.I. Shablevich (art designer), under the direction of N.V. Tarasov... ;)

Wow! You know that even is not known to Tarasov...

This camera has the same lens as Horizon-202 has...

"Pro" is not a part of the camera name.

Rainer K. Lampinen is a finnish photographer who does use panoramic camera, but no way a creator of Horizon!
Or you might also call me a creator of KM+ as I did use a KM
