Hello,
inspired from Juhanis offer of a Yunost I took a look at mine after he sent me photos of his. The serial number of the lens of my Yunost starts with 0, Juhanis with 59, the serial number of my camera (inside the camera) is 00161. So, how are they numbered? Are they normally like the most russian cameras (first 2 digits are the year)? Or do they have this odd numbering like the Leningrad? My Yunost is missing the knob on the bottom to fix the back... Does anybody know how to replace it?

Ulrich,
There are at least 2 versions of Yunost camera. The 1st version comes with two serials: (1) on the lens frontplate and (2) shutter (inside the body). 1st version is designed to use non-removable take-up spool.
2nd version of particular camera is visually identical to 1st type, but no more serial number on body, only on lens frontplate with date prefix. This type of camera is designed to use two film cartridges (cassettes) already.
Both versions have different bottom plate, it's the only way to determine which type it is visually ...
Best Regards, Aidas

Hello Aidas,
so here are some pics, it is the version with the fixed take up spool. You can see the serial number inside the body and you can see what part is missing on the bottom...

Hi Ulrich,
if I remember correctly, I have the dismantled Yunost camera somewhere ... And the bottom-plate lock on my camera should be ok ... I could try to find it for you, if needed?
Best Regards, Aidas |

Hello Aidas,
if you find it and don't use the bottom lock anymore that would be nice! Don't hurry, let me know if you have found it :-)
