The UFA wasn't produced in UFA. The name means "Универсальный ФотоАппарат Universal Foto Apparat) and the camera was created bei OOT (Отдел оперативной техники Department of operational equipment of the 1st Main Directorate of the Ministry of State Security of the USSR, Moscow). There is an UFA camera for document copy with a finder and a distance setting from 0.4 to 0.7 m.
