A chromed aluminum and metal frame "Sports Finder" developed along with the other new accessories for the FED-1 circa 1938. This was the period that the 28mm, 100mm, 50mm Macro, FED Lightmeter, FED Self timer, FED-1S with 50mm f 2.0 lens, and a few other accessories were released to increase the versatility of the FED.
This finder is a copy of the Leitz "Rasuk" sports finder. It is marked "FED" but no sdrial number. The finder has mechanical adjustments and frames for using the 28mm, 50mm, and 100mm lenses, and also a height adjustment to correct parallax for distances of 1meter and 2 meters. The finder folds flat for storage when not in use. This is a rare accessory today.
Shown mounted on a FED-1S. Collection of Bill Parkinson
