This Fed 1a #968 is the only example known with brown smooth covering, which may or may not be original since there is no documentation at present that brown smooth covering was ever used on early FED 1a cameras. This brown covering is also very shiny. (Please see the smooth black covered example shown in another FED 1a entry).
