Many reasons to use a motor drive in medical work. Any time the doctor or technician is busy with his hands and can't use them to wind the camera between exposures .. but can use a foot switch, or ask someone else to make an exposure by remote control of foot or hand switch.

The back looks like a data back of some sort ... any ideas what the controls are labeled? I think Vlad is correct that "MT" designated cameras are primarily for medical use.

Regards, Bill

MT I believe is index for Медицинская Технология - Medical Technology, so any camera with MT is a medical camera...

In this application motor drive is needed for remote operation, not for speed.

I am dubious as to it being a medical camera. I can not think of an application in the medical field where you would need the motor drive!

I think I agree with Don, I thought the Zenitsa has the same application as Surpris. Wouldn't want to be on the business end of that camera .
