You will probably only be able to use 39mm lenses that are made for Zenit mount (for old 39mm Zenits), that is they have 45.5mm optical registration (backfocus). These adapters run about $10, and you can easily obtain in USA from www.fedka.com, or outside of USA I'm sure you can find them on eBay. It's just a threaded ring that converts from 39 to 42mm... don't try to mount any LTM lenses as Zoom pointed out they will not focus correctly.

At first, KMZ never use "the original Leica thread" (M39x26tpi/28.8) -- only M39x1/28.8 for a Zorkies and M39x1/45.2 for the first Zenits.
Btw, it is possible to use M39x1/45.2 lenses on M39x1/28.8 camera parts -- one of the old "UTZ" rings thickness was 16.4 mm (45.2-28.8=16.4). See http://www.zenitcamera.com/qa/qa-extrings.html
