Posted - Oct 25 2010 : 3:18:42 PM Hello all, Sorry for such late response ;) Thanks lots Zoom ! I must see that movie !! Jacques, the camera works fine. The lens is an Industar 50. I'm impressed by its sharpness. Fits also my Canon 7 ;) Best, Jean |

Posted - Sep 14 2010 : 09:56:26 AM With such a date, of course it cannot be a Zorki... Does it work well?

Posted - Sep 13 2010 : 12:56:22 PM Of course, this is a joke (mockery). Sukhov Fyodor Ivanovich (Ñóõîâ Ô¸äîð Èâàíîâè÷) is the hero of famous Soviet film "The White Sun of the Desert" (Áåëîå ñîëíöå ïóñòûíè), see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Sun_of_the_Desert

Posted - Sep 08 2010 : 1:20:33 PM Hello Jacques, Camera is Zorki 1 (!). No doubt the engraving is not from 1937. If genuine, I may assume it's from the 50's and it's about something special done in 1937 ? Anyway I bought the camera for another reason : today I took pictures with it. Best, Jean |

Posted - Sep 08 2010 : 07:50:20 AM Hi Jed! What is the serial number of your camera? With such a date, it should be a Fed 1b (or perhaps an early 1c)to be genuine...
Amitiés. Jacques.

Posted - Sep 08 2010 : 05:56:28 AM Hello Aidas !
Thank you very much ! I only paid 30€ for the camera and the seller didn't mention the engraving. Nethertheless, I doubt it is genuine. The seller was located in Russia and it doesn't sound possible to me to sell such camera at that price.
All the best, Jean |

Posted - Sep 08 2010 : 02:15:41 AM Hi Jed!
"To the soldier of Red Army F.I.Sukhov from L.P.Beria NKVD 1937". As you probably know Beria was a boss of soviet NKVD untill 1953.
No more comments, ok?
