I have been advised to have a 39mm J 8 modified to correct infinity on my Leica M8 , but my Kiev J 8s seem to have much more robust mounts , so I would prefer the Contax / Leica M adapter not only to check all my lenses , but also the Sonnars and Sonnar mounted J 3 .

This is solely a quality / style issue , so probably invalid , but a Sonnar J3 will just be so perfect , both in optical ability AND looking great on the camera , just as it does on my Kiev hearted Contax II .

I know of a Sonnar collapsible mounted i61/ld at too much money - what a crazy idea , a screw lense adapted to Kiev and adapted back to Leica M ! It will not happen , but it shows what can happen when messing about in Kiev ...
