as far as I know, the motor-drive was run by an accumulator that is positioned in the bottom of the body - under the bottom cover.That is why the baseplate ismuch higher than of the Zenit 4 or 6. The camera was delievered with a charger to re-charge that accu via a jack in the baseplate. So you will find out when you open the bottom and see what is inside there. Due to what is said very often there is just nothing left because of corrosion of leaking accus and people removed the inserts.
I think you still can transport the film via the film reminder knob.
