Posted - Oct 27 2012 : 11:53:31 AM Hello,
Some days on the French Riviera, at Menton, not far from Nice. I tried two arrangements. First, my 1941 Fed S with the Jupiter Sonnar (1946 Zeiss barrel, 1974 KMZ serial number, front part probably changed), a picture of the village.
I had much pleasure to use this russo german material... so that my Canon EOS3 stayed in its bag!
Amitiés. Jacques.

Posted - Oct 29 2012 : 04:48:36 AM Hi Fred!
Just a skylight filter, to protect the lens. But looking closely at my pictures, I wonder if the shutters work perfectly: on the first pic, there is an underexposed zone on the right. A small piece of film or a matter of regulation? Surely, I will have to see that.
About my 2/5cm collapsible Zeiss lens (the two last pictures), I discovered something funny. The serial number is 2711193 on the front, but when dismounting, a 2936760 is engraved on the barrel. Probably all that was taken from Germany to Russia as spare parts, then remounted and regulated for Feds...
Here is a picture of this Sonnar (with the Fed S I used).
