Hi,I've bought this Fed during my last journey on Budapest. Is there someone that could give me more informations about this model? Is it original or a fake?
Thank you so much for the answers!

Hello,

It is a 1g. The red color is not original (all the 1-s were made in black). I have one of these red Feds too: it enlightens a black collection!
The lens is an Industar 22, normally put on Zorkis. Probably better than the original Fed lens!

Amitiés. Jacques.

Just the price you paid for it, I would say...
To be serious, around 60-70€: these Fed 1g are common. But there is no real rule for modified cameras.

Amitiés. Jacques.
PS: according to the serial number, yours was probably made in 1953.

I know, I'd just want to be sure I haven't paid it too much!

Hi,
it is not a fake, but nice repainted camera . As Jacques already said, there were no colored FED-1, only in black.
It seems to be completely repainted. Original painted cameras (for example FED-2) have
nevertheless all inscriptions in black. Normally the body only is painted.

The lens is much better than original FED-1 lens and fits to the camera (the camera is also about 1953/54).
Such camera could cost about 50,- Euro in good condition.

Regards, Alexander

Very interesting information. Considering passport's data S-13 cameras where already produced in 1953-54, possibly even earlier. Possibly they where made for and installed on Mig 17 or even on Mig 15 fighters, and where used in Korean war and Vietnam. I wonder if this camera are USSR design, or it was "influenced" by German designs ?
