Absolutely beautiful. A dream! If this camera is yours, could you send more photos, base plate removed, for example?
Thanks for sharing, Ilya. Jacques.

A very interesting "inside", for what we can see! In fact, it looks very like an early Fed 1a: it has too screws to fix the bolt. Late 1a (and all the following Fed) will have rivets instead of these two screws.
Some slight differences: a spring a bit too short; the axle of the rewind lever which is larger...
By what you see, the shutter cage is made of brass, aluminium or iron? If ever you had the idea to unscrew the lens, it would be interesting to have a photo of the rangefinder tip...
Thanks, Ilya. Jacques.

It's a very unusual top on this one, very neat and chrome, usually they're either galvanized or painted black. It seems to be missing a lens mount ring?

very nice! This is the first one I see with full chromed top, normally they're brass or chrome on top of black top cover... interesting! Thanks for posting, if you have more information, please share.
Thanks! Vlad. |

So, the tip of rangefinder is a circular one, a "disc", like on the Leicas... Yes, I had seen that your camera was already on the JLP!... Congratulations!
If I dared... I suppose that the belt of the camera is made of aluminium. But what about the two plates and the shutter box itself?
Really thanks to share what you have: not so common about rare cameras!
Jacques. |
