This Smena camera is a part of the professional Belarus-2M enlarger, if I remember correctly. So enjoy ...

looks like a device to make a reprography device from an enlarger. you put the drawing or photo that you want to copy on the base plate and illuminate it by some repro lamps. you take off the enlarger lamp and put the camera instead of the film holder. then you slide the matte screen into place for focussing. if it's fine, you slide the camera into position. there should be a shutter or a dark slide.
the polaroid MP-4 was a similar device, but for instant film. |

Aidas, xya, Juhani, Jacques, thank you very much! It's a very cool piece, I've never seen it before, great for my collection! I would to see the whole enlarger setup with this camera attached. And it's a very rare logo Smena-2M as well!!
