I have a prototype Zenit E which is or was a Zenit 3M with a wink mirror and built in exposure meter. Number 6400006.
I have no idea what it may be worth. Does anyone have an idea?

seany65 thinks very quickly:

"Um, nothing at all, in fact it's so worthless that you may as well send it to me, so that it's not 'cluttering up' your house".

Does anyone think richard will fall for that?

Hello Richard

You can't know the price of something you didn't sold already.

I know of a modified Zenit-3M called Zenit-3EM found by Alexander Schulz (see: http://www.g-st.ch/privat/kameras/zenitbuchtext.html#71) that was sold in a german photo auction some years ago for a reasonable price like about 300 Euro if I remember correctly.

By the way it would very kind of you to show us some pictures of your camera. Thank you.

Best wishes - Guido

I contacted a specialist camera auction house and their next sale is early October so they asked me to send the camera and an unmarked Kiev 4A to them straight away.
I do have a photo of the Zenit and the Kiev but I will have to find out how to post the pictures.
There is someone in France who is interested in both cameras so I was going to let him know the details of the auction so he could bid online.

Once more, USSRphoto was used as a way to get better prices. It's not the first time...

Thanks for your feeling and the listing of prices, Jean.

Jacques.
