Thought I would post this picture of my latest "find". It's a 4A, first version. It arrived very dirty, self timer not working, shutter not latching closed properly and the shutter speeds way off (sluggish). After about two hours, have everything working properly again. Anyway, this is what it looks like now and am hoping that by Sunday, I can have it all back together and doing what it was built to do...

Does anyone know exactly how many parts a Kiev 4 has? I would guess far more than that of a Leica M3?

Mr. Peter Hennig says 730 parts in a Kiev II.

Thank you for posting this picture! It kind of art to see picture of parts laying in order, ready for assembly!
I also learn a great tip how to use sticky tape to hold small screws. Always problem to keep them in place!
Wish you luck to assemble camera back! Let us know the results!
