Hi Alain,
Indeed, these Lubitel-2 cameras are not easy to find now. I have only pictures, not real camera yet ... [V]

The "2" in the photo of your camera, Alain, looks different than the "2" in the photo of the Lubitel-2 in Princelles (page 71). Also the placement is different, with the rivet inside of the "2" on yours and to the side in the photo of the one in Princelles.
Also, how can this camera be rare if the production was "More than two million units" as stated in Princelle. Is he wrong about that number?
Regards, Bill

Oh, never mind my last post. Now I see you mean that the placement of the "2" is what is rare ... I have never paid attention to Lubitel-2 until now ... sorry for my ignorance!
Regards, Bill

These cameras were made around 1955/1956 and represent the turnover from Lubitel to Lubitel 2(synch cameras), when they adopted an arrangement retooling the new dies already made for the previous Lubitel. Note the writing is exactly the same of the previous Lubitel (unsynch)
Regards
Note: The first lot of imported Lubitel 2 to Brazil ,sported the cyrillic plate and the importers made here new latin plates which were glued over the cameras. interesting enough, the two rivets are fake rivets engraved in the aluminium plate the same way as the letters. Recently I found several of them that I took with me.

Hi Alain,
I'm happy you like my new toy ... [:)][:)][:)]. It's interesting to mention, that the particular camera was bought recently on USA eBay. The professional camera dealer said no single word in his lot description, that camera with unique serial number comes for sale ... [:D][:D] Probably he did not find it interesting ...
Best Regards,
Aidas

More than 2Mn and you have the first one, Aidas...
Not bad! [:D]
There is no serial number on the body for Komsomolets or Lubitel? (the question of an ignorant).
Amitiés. Jacques.

Hi Jacques,
not exactly with the very first one ... [:)] It's the first camera with LOMO markings on white disk indeed. Many versions with GOMZ, LOOMP and LOMO markings before ...[:)][:)][:)] But it's still fun to have it!
Best Regards,
Aidas
