Hi there,

I'm currently waiting for a Leningrad off of eBay. Unfortunatly, it didnt include the instruction manual. From what I have heard, the Leningrad is a bit strange and easy to break by operating things wrong. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can download a copy of the manual, or if anyone just has any tips on what not to do.

Thanks in advance.

Rob

Hello,

Here's a copy of the manual. French translation, but still interesting :

I'll buy that camera in the near future :)
The viewfinder is great.
Princelle told me that Lenigrad's owners should load the camera with reloadable metal cassettes for optimal performance.

Best,
Jed

that's right Jed...
(by the way ...Still nice to meet you in Bièvres and thanks again for translator performances during friend's meeting !)
So...if you get a Leningrad ...try to buy a rare model...
And thank a lot for french manual link...long time I lose it when my PC was defect...

thanks for the tip :)

Anyone know where I can get the cassettes, or are they just the normal reloadable cassettes for bulk loading? I take it they only fit in the supply side. Is it the frame spacing that is affected most? I've heard it has no control over spacing as such.

Hello,

I originally thought that Princelle spoke of the below metal cassettes :

Bad news it won't fit my Fed 2 so I can't guarantee it will fit a Leningrad. Such cassettes were designed for rangefinder Kievs.

I'm pretty sure somebody owns both a Leningrad and the above cassettes [:)]
So will they fit or not ? [8)]

Best,

Jean

PS : Greetings Alain !

Cool :)

I thought there might have been a propriatery cassette for that particular camera (there are ones for the fed/zorkis and Kiev's arent they?).

yes indeed ...Leningrad Kassettes are slightly differents than Fed, KMZ or Kiev type...openning pins are differents and straight stop pin too.but I tried to use normal reloadables or standards Kassettes in the past whithout problem.
