hi everyone, I recently bought a zenit E, after messing with other peoples old cameras for a while. I guess I've fallen in love with the way it fits in my hands, the way it all seems to feel and blend with my arms and my mind. (does that make sense?) and have discovered what I think is a fairly serious problem. the shutter rewind lever seems to be very very stiff and clunky to wind on. I have found tom tiger's directions for taking the camera apart, but i think the problem must be in the shutter. the spool seems to turn ok, but the sprocket spindle and the shutter spindle seems to be stuck. can anyone help? in the picture its the 2nd and 3rd shaft in from the left. anyone had this problem before?

hope to hear soon, Emma

First remove the advance tower "T" with its rachet.
Loose the three screws 1, 2,and 3. Note that the screw 2 has a small limiting plate for the rear cover pivoting wire. Do not emove it!
Now recenter the platform "P" , and tight the screws. You will fill it looseby advancing the film and shutter with your finger tips.
Lub the gears with machine oil. That is all.
Kind regards
Be blessed by the South Cross Constellation.
