ZK Kiev Lens

This lens is normally attached to my 1948 Kiev-II. I am puzzled by the fact that it is a rigid lens dated 1947. Were the rigid and collapsible ZK lenses produced at the same time?

What a good question!
We know more or less where 1947 Kievs come from. But for me, the question of the lenses remains open.

Certainly ZK lenses come from war time Sonnars. But these 2/5cm Sonnars were (totally? almost totally?) collapsible. So, they should have been transformed into rigid ZK. By KMZ? And above all: why?

The question is different for the 1,5/5cm Sonnar which were all rigid.

Just for fun, here is a Sonnar which remained a collapsible Sonnar. Probably it should be a ZK by its serial number!

Till now, I had not tried to dismount my 1948 rigid 2/5cm ZK. I have just done it, to see that the barrel is a KMZ, not a Zeiss one. Nevertheless, it seems to have the correct features: flat front, ears for the diaphragm ring...

So, do we know more now about this question? Under all that, of course, the problem of fakes...

Do you mean that ZK/Zeiss lenses (2/5cm, Kiev mount) were made in 1947, and that we begin to find ZK/KMZ ones in 1948? Probably, all (or most part) of collapsible ones are Zeiss's, and rigid ones are KMZ's?

An Ukrainian 1948 Kiev II...

But it's not really the relationship with Jena-Contaxes: some 1948 Kiev II show black paint under the self timer. Michel's for example. And another one of Alexey!

But that engraved KNÏB: it's the very first time I see and hear of that!
