I was wondering why all Zenit E type Camera's up to the 12xp still remained the 1/500 as a top speed. The Start had 1/1000, and the Zorki 4 as well. I'm wondering why the E types miss this speed, it is technically impossible for this model?

I love the Zenit as a shooter, but I miss the slow speeds and the high speed too often. Thats when I grab the Praktica [:)]

With kind regards,

Valkir

Technically very diffiult to add 1/1000 to the old shutter which starts from 1/30. Even the 1/500 was many times inaccurate and longer than supposed...
But Belarussians did add 1/1000 to many Zenits that they made. Also many times that speed does not open curtains at all...

Dear Juhani,

Thanks for your reply. Can't find a 1/1000 E type in the Wiki yet. Could be a chance for someone to upload the first.

I noticed the shutter curtains start running when the mirror flips up. Thats different on other camera's.

With kind regards,

Valkir
