FED 2 Lunokhod limited edition

Arrived today refurbished FED 2 Lunokhod limited edition .. my over all impression of this camera is it looks very nice I would say 99/100 .. just a couple of slight flaws.. turning the focus ring is very tight and the rewind collar has a deep scratch.. but all things considered for the cameras age* I'm very happy.. and the eBay seller received positive feedback Colin

* question you the FED experts about what year would this camera be? with the solid speed dial I guess it would be early in the FED production.. maybe not!

All the Lunokhod cameras are fake.
Am I right?

I'm not sure if fake would be the correct word...it's more likely old camera that's been revamped as an commemorative edition.

... just like our 2 year anniversary camera [;)]

such cameras are not fakes, they was simply "new made" for the crazy camera-collectors, like us [:D].
But you are right, they were never in the soviet camera-production.

Update on my camera.

No doubt about it.. looks very nice.. will make an excellent paper weight..

And as for taking photographs it's not that good! .. Oh well I wont make that mistake again!

Try it, you will be surprised how good photographs it can make.

I agree with Okynek. Just put a "modern" coated Industar 10 on this Fed 2 and try it.
As for the black Industar 61, it is first class on the right body: last Fed 2, 3, 4, 5... you have the choice!
