Hello all!

So I've bought this Zorki-4K set and it came with some mysterious devices, maybe some of you can explain to me what they are because they don't fit the camera in any way.. here are the pictures of the set.

Thanks,
Vlad.

Hello Vlad!

Pic 1
This set is part of a certain type of microcope and the case has some extra accessories.
The camera and tube goes directly in the microscope part fitted to receive the camera for taking pictures.

Pic 2
The chrome rings are extra diaphragms, and goes directly in camera tube. The cable release with holder is logical for long exposures. the ocular and extra small tube is for a different magnifying. the holder with springs holds the cable release in a different place away from the set not to transmit vibrations when taking pitures.

Pic 3
And the three next pictures shows the most important piece: an ocular with a micrometric device. probably there is a moving reticle made for measurng the specimen seen at a fixed 15x ratio.

The final picture
Shows two replacing lamps and a sun shade put else where in the microscope base.
Everything seems to be part of "Biolam" series of microscopes.

Regards LP

Thank you very much for the explanation Luiz, so if I'm understanding this correctly

1. I have an incomplete kit
2. None of there stuff in the kit attaches to the camera directly but goes onto a microscope itself?

Thanks,
Vlad

1 The kit is complementary to a series of microscopes
2 Yes.

Of course
but it needs the illumination base and the trinocular head.
The illumination base is needed to supply the amount of light
the trinocular allows seeing at the same time of the camera enabling the picture taking.
Regards LP
PS I believe you will find anothe microscope in better overall conditions.

Excellent! Thanks so much Luiz, this helps tremendously! I will look for this set then! Yes I agree, the one I found is not in working condition, I just wanted to see if it's a right model. the same seller has a working unit for $250.. I am not sure if it's a good price..

Best regards,
Vlad

I do have the FKM already, but I wonder how the electrical contacts on FKM connect to that microscope?

Vlad.

Vlad
1) of course this FKM have useless electrical contacts
2) This MFN "microskopishieski fotografirovanie nabor" includes an uncommon multiple enlarging converter and you have a "bonus" although the price is somewhat high
