Recently I bought this rare camera. Now I want to check how it works, especially its motor drive. But I don't know how to change batteries.

Hi Vladimir,

as far as I know, the motor-drive was run by an accumulator that is positioned in the bottom of the body - under the bottom cover. That is why the baseplate ismuch higher than of the Zenit 4 or 6. The camera was delievered with a charger to re-charge that accu via a jack in the baseplate. So you will find out when you open the bottom and see what is inside there. Due to what is said very often there is just nothing left because of corrosion of leaking accus and people removed the inserts.

I think you still can transport the film via the film reminder knob.

Very interesting camera - hope it will work. Let us know.

Manuals for Zenit 4 and 6 you can find here:

best
Peter
