Found on ebay, bought for very few $$$ without lens

a kiev 53 (II) with a professionnaly mounted synch on the right side of the body (not like a later production kiev...) but

with on the front plate a very well glued "contax" plate... went to see the other side, no engraving visible... but the plate is very well glued... the plate is smaller than the normal kiiv engraving so I doubt there is anything engraved at all.

would it be a very early no-name contax ????

it's not a refurbished contax II nor a jena contax... and of course it sounds epxort quality (very smooth and very clean...

serial number is 533011

Stephan,
could you post here some pictures of your camera?
I think it is a russian Kiev camera with replaced front "Contax" plate. I have seen some of then on Photo/Camera Fairs.
