Lomo Stereo Sputnik Prototype space camera

Hello,
I have found today on Ebay very interesting camera:

Was it realy produced on LOMO or it is some "home made" monster?
Any ideas?

Most interesting! I can only offer an opinion in this case. I am unsure about the space designation of this camera as there is no documentation but the quality of the build is too high to be a home made camera in my opinion.

Price is also quite interesting :)

Actually on the other hand after examining the open back and the bottom hinges, use of the larger screws and the crude quality of hinges is somewhat suspicious, especially with the claim of it being space camera, where Soviets spared no expense even for prototypes... Any other opinions?

I had seen the same front adapted un another type of Russian camera some years ago
I can't remember exactly when and where or if I have the image

The rust spots on the hinges and body indicate the use of steel or another ferrous metal, an unlikely choice due to the weight of these materials.
Also the frame number windows on the rear would be unlikely due to the requirement for radiation shielding on anything going into orbit.

I am aware that the Americans used Hasselblads, which are heavy, however since this is allegedly designed specifically for the space program the design seems odd.

Very good camera, but it most definitely "home made".
Viewfinder still has unneeded shatter,
Viewfinder usually has different lens then shatter,
Shatters are different on right and left,
I can not find mechanics to cock both shatters together.
I can not find mechanics to set aperture and speed on both shatters at the same time.
The only what seems to work for all 3 lenses is focus ring.
Writings on the middle ring taken from one more lens.
All screws are not up to experimental cameras, or space camera, as it was mentioned earlier.
Never the less camera seems to be very well made. Great to have in collection for price below 1/10 of the advertised [:)]

Did spacial craft be buid as such cameras every mission would blow before departure.
