I try without success to find a ZENIT 12C by good conditions.
But now I have the opportunity to by a ZENIT 12XPS even the body only. And a very, very good price.
But will this Zenit 12XPS works on my Fotosnaiper FS-12?
Somebody knows anything about this?
Thank You beforhand.
August.

As long as it has the correct bottom plate with the trigger hole in it, it should fit. I will try tonight at home, I got both units.

There are different key points in both cameras.
The release is different. Old series could not be retrofitted once the shutter operation is different in both cameras. recent ones share the same base in both models.
In all cases the exposure meter must be rewired, and it is needed a bottom contact. Not too difficult but one must know what is doing.
In any case it is best to obtain a true XPS or Sds and try to repair the body because it is easier than adapt any other body;

Hello,
I am happy. So a have no more problems, beginning with a Fotosnaiper FS-12 and a non-conectable Praktica MTL5.. I ordered the Zenit 12XPS-camera already.
"Merci beaucoup" again,
August.

the 12XPS body in a 12S set or vice versa can be coupled OK but exposure will be incorrect
But observe that thereare two XPS one with metalic top an another with plastic top. These are completely interchangeable

SDS means Sviet Diodi Snaiper (in Russian)
XPS means X (=emmiting) Photodiode Sniper (English)

Yea, I'm not sure about the exposure August, Luiz may very well be correct here, I wouldn't rely on internal meter then... just use the handheld meter..

Here I am again with my little problem.
You are right, the exposure is incorrect with the Zenit 12XPS on my Fotosnaiper F-12.
For your knowledge, what model of Zenit 12 do you recommend?
Thank You very much for Your help.
"Un grand bonjour"
