Well my lens showed up today, 08/07. It's in better condition then I hoped but it still needs some TLC, the first thing I will do is re-lube the focusing helicoid. It seems to have been cleaned but needs a better job and the damping grease they used is pretty thin. Will be going out of town this weekend that will give me time to play with it then.
And yes I have listed the serial number on the list.

Another question on this lens, what is the 2 digit number that is punched behind the inf pin on the flange side of the lens mount.
Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the addition!
I will include the serial in my next update of lens serial statistics which should come soon.
Are you going to use it on a camera?
About the 2-digit number:
I'm not sure if we really have a definite answer to that yet, might have to do something with factory-intern inspection and quality control. Maybe Jacques knows more?
Regards,
Christian

Well I had planed to use it on my Ricoh Gxr but it seems like some of the earlier Leica screw mt lenses that with a ltm to M adp the index point puts the inf lock top dead center on the lens mount. This seems to cause problems with the inf lock release. in that it won't release. So I will try it with a screw mt to Nex adp on my Nex. I would prefer to use it on the Ricoh GXR which I have had great results with my other M lenses and Ltm lenses. But it is what it is.
Life is what you make of it. ie is the glass half full or half empty!!!!!
