hi friends,
i just bought a complete wooden box case whith all items like you (lucky guys [:)])
So ...is there someone which will send to me a "check list" translation please ?
you can see this list on a picture (include in the wooden box.
So , i will try soon take some pictures whith this camera as I did whith all my "kgb's".
just an information : it was said on wiki : the lens is 3 lens made ...I think it is a 4 lens (Tessar type ?) no ? (the same as you can find on Horizont camera)
ps : mine is 91029.
and owner's book cover is gery (i sold in the past : one blue example and one burgundy)

Alain,

an excellent acquisition! Congratulations!

Please post more close-up version of this checklist, preferably in flipped format, so maybe 600x800 pixels file? I will do my best to translate it.

Also where would one see the images you took with these KGB cameras?? I am first hearing about this, if you have them somewhere, it would be great if you could post them all in Wiki in Member Articles section!

Thank you!
Vlad

Allain and others.
This case is not a camera outfit! But an special set for camera repairing- that is - for parts substitution I have seen several of these cases for Kiev, Zenits and Zorkis. Believe or not there were such csees for Vilia and Smenas! Lubitel etc... That particular one is an emergency case for -in field repairing-
Very interesting!
Now a question- I want to know which digital camera has such a device?
Regards
Luiz

Hummmm, dear Luiz,
i think it is not a repair set but a basic device .
Michel bought a Kiev repair set in wooden box too ,
then we both opened the box : all parts are differents axle, gears, shaft etc ...never a complete functionnal camera and accessories as in that set.
here is just missing battery charger (to refill batteries inside remotes controllers)
but i hope i can built one whith complete information owners book. just understand it is a 3 and (or) 5 Volts power spply)...

But do not forget , i can easily make a mistake....
to be continued [:)]

I agree with Alain. These sets shown are the origianl set with all (or most) accessories and useful items for the camera. There are no replacement parts. Just the box is similar to the boxes that are used for the replacement kits. Probably the boxes are made at the same wood box-making factory. Things like the reproduction camera Elochka also come in the same boxes, and many other types of Soviet technical equipment besides cameras ... even with the same stenciled writing on the outside ... (broken martini glass to visually mean "very fragile"!).

Here, you guys ... this is what box mine came in ... nice wood box with everything needed . Supposedly this one I have came from a Navy base near Odessa ... so maybe that's why it had the box. I have heard they were kept on ships so that they could be used if ever a ship was boarded and documents needed to be copied!

Hi Allain

I managed to charge the batteries in mine by adding some leads to a standard battery charger. I found that the batteries held their charge for a few hours, so I was able to test the camera.
The pins on the battery tester push into the holes in the remote controls and the LEDS light to show that the batteries are charged.
