It was known that each foreign company manufactured boxes only for their own hearing instruments. For other cameras they did not fit. Our industry then produced some camera models - «FED», «Zorkiy», «Kiev», «Zenit», «Start», but no boxes to them.

The idea was accepted as always late. In 1988, was born our domestic pressurized apparatus, which was named «Aquacon». For it was developed and flash lamp. In the apparatus was a mechanism «LOMO-compact».
In 1990 Massarsky decided to modernize its built-in flash and developed « Aquacon -2».
These cameras have unique capabilities. In them was applied sealing system, which worked both external gauge pressure under water, and when the interior the high altitude or in space. . For the first time in these machines used a capillary depth:at a depth of 5-6 m, the machine automatically included lamp flash. And at a maximum depth of 50 m is included emergency lights and a beep that deeper't be going!

The company has registered the trademark « Aquacon ». Was done 4 experimental instance, they have been tested, everything worked perfectly. ..." Aquacon " was much cheaper than Western analogues, “Nikonos” and very competitive. Preparations started industrial production of this camera. But then “Perestroika” began, the LOMO was not until these devices. Preserved only prototypes, which have become a rarity for collectors of photography.

If to look back and evaluate the path of domestic creators underwater technique, many of our first devices with the height of knowledge of today's observer may seem rather primitive. But this way should have to pass. However, we should admit that the situation, with great efforts of these enthusiasts able to move mountains and conquer the ocean, managed to achieve the industrial production of many instruments and to create a huge modern community of submariners.
