accessory finder question

I only paid $15 but it could end up being a $15 paperweight.
Supposedly it is slightly foggy but still useable.
Is it possible to clean these up and might this one be useful with my FSU`s?

Looks just like the Leitz product, but clearly marked "Universal," & "Japan." Large ring continuously sets an internal mask for 35mm through 135mm F.L. lenses. I had one of these a long time ago, and I didn't like it. With tele it is like peeping through a keyhole.

Yeah thanks,I expected that to be but I`d still like to know if the fogging is permanent or can be reduced or eliminated.

IIRC mine wasn't either superbright, but I didn't mind as I got the FSU-turret one asap. This came with other items, so it was like a freebie.
