Dear Experts,

I'm new here, have a question, all my searches so far were not successful. I saw photos of 2 Zenit cameras like here:
http://olx.bg/fotoaparat-zenit-i38116897 , both cameras from the same production, lens serial number starts from 80. Are they from any special production or just normal Zenits?

Thank you,
Rinat

Welcome Rinat,
I'm not an Zenit-E expert, but some Zenits had only a weak paint for the logo, kind of silkscreened. Some rebranded Zenits had a glued name-plate. I guess with a little effort the logo can be taken away.

Many Zenits got to the West without any name on the front to be labeled later by the sellers. This is how we get all this Cosmorex, Global, Kalimar, Prinzflex .... (see wiki for more: http://ussrphoto.com/Wiki/default.asp?WikiCatID=69&ParentID=1&ContentID=636&Item=Zenit+E)
Also I would point that if this Zenit E made by KMZ and serial starts from 80 then it was made in last full year of production of Zenit-E by Krasnogorsk. Few more Zenit-E was made in 1981, after that Zenit-E was produced only in Minks by Belomo.
Both facts above make this particular camera somewhat stand out from the rest, but it may not be enough to make it true collectable example yet [:)]
