The "Just arrived in my collection" thread is just way too long so I decided to post separately [:)]. This was a nice set of packages waiting for me after I came back from a little trip. [:)]
http://www.ussrphoto.com/UserContent/382016_Vt2rdGahrQE.jpg
Special thanks to Juhani for his great help in acquiring the Amator for me from Sweden, and 5 of the cameras here are also his.
It seems that the collecting is coming in waves over the years, a few years you buy a lot, a few years you a little bit cool down then run into some new information and start buying like crazy again [:)]. I think I bought around 40 cameras since June.

Few questions.
What is the camera in row of bellows cameras first from the left ?
On this photo
http://www.ussrphoto.com/UserContent/382016_Dtiu1qsh4ds.jpg on the bottom, between Sverlovsk and pink camera, there is something like Sport but chrom version not black version. What is that ?
And I can see beautiful FED NKVD ner Sputnik cameras.

That's a lot of camera! [:0]
I particulary appreciate the Uran-27 in his A39 camera [:)]
And a question, what is the lens on the photo number 4 (last post) mounted on Zenit ET. Front glass seems to be quite wide, but I can recognize engraving...
Oh, and which lens is used on this DIY photosniper (between the white and black Photosnipers)? Industar-37?
I see you have also this belarus Selena with J-38, I guess J-39 should be somewhere around it. Those lens are quite interesting to use, nice IQ.
Is your Rakurs in working condition?
My collection is only lens collection, I'm not into camera thing. I'm also no into accumulation thing, so I rarely have 2 identical lenses.
It's photo from april, so it's already outdated, some interesting lenses are missing, like RO2-2M or MOM-1...OF-41...OB-J55929007...well yes, quite outdated [:D]
99% of them were already mounted on my A7. The only one that I didn't mounted is Jupiter-13 125/1.5 because of missing glass.

Hi Pierre!
Wow that's quite a lens collection! Very nice!
I actually don't collect lenses, only ones that come with cameras [:)]
Regarding lens on ET - that's not a Soviet lens - it's a Rokinon 135mm 2.8 M42.
I am also not into accumulation, all cameras in the pictures are unique, no duplicates. They differ in some way on another. Duplicates are stored separately reserved for trade with other colletors.
Best regards,
Vlad

sorry, yes, missed those. Yes it's I-37 on the homemade photosniper. I only have the J-38 with the Selena unfortunately. And Rakurs does work since I bought it functional but I never tested it, I don't use my cameras anymore..
Cheers,
Vlad

No doubt, the meaning of the word "collector" is evident when seeing your collection, Vlad...[:D]
I cannot do the same. I have a special shelf for my Fed 1, but the Contax/Kiev are scattered in other boards... I am jealous of your neat and beautiful order. BTW, how many cameras do you have?
Pierre, your floor is over crowded. Your lenses look like buildings, some of them being skyscrapers!
Amitiés. Jacques.

Alfa2, most left is AFPI - a German import into Czarist Russia.
http://ussrphoto.com/Wiki/default.asp?WikiCatID=103&ParentID=1&ContentID=823&Item=AFPI+retailed+by+SurovThat is a Sport, it's just someone has taken off the black paint on the whole camera. I don't know why - maybe unfinished restoration..
The FED NKVD you see near Sputnik is actually a USSRPhoto 5 Year anniversary custom Zorki. [:)]

Ah ok, I thought the AFPI is a russian camera I have never saw before but it is not the case.
Sport looks interesing even not pained.
Zorki 5th anniversary, hmmm, I have expected someting spectacular like FED NKVD number 150. [:)]
Vlad, thanks for explanations and links.

Hi Vlad,
Congratulations on a brilliant Soviet camera collection and display. You have encouraged me to count up my collection and it amounts to 592 Soviet cameras, 19 other cameras, 68 Soviet lenses and 180 Soviet photographic accessories. Unfortunately, I live in a small cottage and there is no room to display my collection, so it is all stored in plastic crates, with each camera packed in a plastic bag with silica gel. I have decided to stop collecting now (at the age of 73), and possibly start selling the collection off. I am sure that my interest in Soviet cameras and in particular your exceptional website, will remain.
David.

Thanks, Vlad, Alfa and Pierre. Note there is a mirror behind the cameras which doubles the real number![:D]
Concerning alfa's question: the Sonnar is a "home made" conversion of a bayonet one. Interesting: it's a wartime one, and it is mounted on a 1e. That seems correct, chronologically speaking. The seller told me he found all that "as is" twenty years ago.
About the other lens, it's a 1947 2/5cm ZK (certainly fake) mounted, for the moment, on a Zorki 1a/1b.
As for the Leicas, I will make a photo (it will be enough!).
Amitiés. Jacques.

I'm on holiday with my family. Today it was raining almost whole day so I had enough time to "study" Jacques's collection.
Can I have 2 more questions ? [;)]
On this photo:
http://www.ussrphoto.com/UserContent/1282016_DSCF2508.JPGwe can see gold fake Leica.
1) One camera closer to a viewer is original Leica III with Summar 2/50. Why Leica among russian cameras ?
2) One camera closer to camera from point 1) is very strange fake Leica. Rewind knob has greater diameter than it should have. As a consequence top plate is shorter than in regular FED or Leica. All knobs and speed dial are strange. What is/was the camera ?

Last 2 questions. [:)]
1) On the same photo behind "gold Leica". What is it ? FED Arsenal ?
2) On the last photo:
http://www.ussrphoto.com/UserContent/1282016_DSCF2516.JPGThere is a camera on right upper corner just near mirror its top plate is shining more intensively than regular FED, Zorki or Leica. Is this a USSRPhoto 5 Year anniversary custom FED or something else ?

Really, it's raining all the time during your holidays, alfa![8D]
First question: it's "only" a Fed Sport, with a rapid winder, a 2/50mm Fed lens and a 1/1000th shutter. The "Fed Arsenal" is not on these photos.
And for the "more shining" camera, it's a "no name" 1d with bright chrome and no engraving. You have good eyes!
Amitiés. Jacques.

Thank you Jacques for photos of Leicas and Contaxes/Kievs. Leicas are so precise. I can see there a few realy interesting items. And I like Contaxes I too. [:)]
OK but let's go back to russian cameras.
FED Sport, you have it, wwwwoooooooowwwww. Does body differ from regular FED S or it is only FED S with rapid winder ? I can see advanced knob is different than regular one.

I wasn't just referring to you vlad, but to everyone who has a lot of cameras as well. I seem to be the only one who has only 2 cameras at the minute, but I am waiting on a zenit c, (and a fed 2 which I'm getting sort of 'by accident'. It's a long story, so I won't bore you all with it, but I may not keep it). I would like a zenit crystal (1st. or 2nd type), and a zenit 4. I'd also like a yashica mat 124g and a bronica etrsi. Possbily a fed 3a.
If I got all of them and include the 2 I've got, that would be 9 altogether. Not very far off the number some of you have, eh?[:p]
How do you justify to mrs. vlad that you need another camera or another lens?
Anwyay, I was wondering if all of your cameras are in working order, and do you use them? In fact that question goes to everyone who has any sort of collection.

At our home she has not been able to follow how many cameras I have, not after the first 100 [:o)]
And nowadays I can sell two but buy one instead, which confuses her count totally [:D]
I have not used film for over five years now, so the cameras are a timebomb: shutters getting jammed and so on [:(]
Best regards,
Juhani
