private messages (pm's)

I was just wondering how we send or read private messages (pm's)?

There was a post in a thread in which someone said they'd sent me a pm and in a reply I posted I asked how I get to my pm's, but no-one has told me.

Any help would be much apppreciated.

You click on the person's nickname on the left next to their post, then click "Click to send email"

Ah. So a PM on this forum is actually an email that goes to our email account, which is seperate from the forum? That would be different from any other forum I've been on.

Yeah it's a very old forum software, maybe one day I'll have some time to upgrade it. [:)]

Wish I'd known a few months ago. I received what I thought was an email notfication of a pm sent to me on this forum and I took a quick look at it, (without making a note of what was said in it), and then deleted it, thinking I'd get to look at the actual pm when I signed in here. Of course I couldn't find any way to see my pm's. Now I know why.

I'll have to try and remember in what thread the pm was mentioned so that I can ask for it to be sent again.

Yes, it would be nice to have PMs like on other forums. [:)]
