While walking I meet somebody with a FSU case. So I asked him what camera it was. Here's the Zorki 1 he showed me. It belonged to his father. A Zorki 1 with show speeds added. Working condition ;)

Jed,
It is very funny to see the camera belonged to somebody‘s father, that was never produced [:)]. This somebody was definetly from the Ukraine.
By the way, Jed, I wrote you yesterday whatsapp and you didn't answer.

This someone was definitely from Italy. The camera belonged to my father, he told me that my grandfather purchased it from a forein sailor. My grandfather died in 1955 for an accident, so it must nave been purchased before that time. The repairman who did a CLA on the camera said that it wasn't modified in any part, and everythig is original from the factory. Only a little piece of the slow speed gear was repaired.
Jed, we met.

Thanks for the photos and the report: very pleasant for those who cannot attend the fair!

Jed, thank you for the photos! Great to see it's still going strong! Was the fair smaller than before or about the same? Last time I was there was 2009, so a lot of dealers, not sure how it is now..

This Zorki is quite interesting! Looks very well made..

Best regards,
Vlad

AlexanderK no problem. I saw a couple of Zorki with slow speed in Italy, so for me this camera it is not so strange. The main difference, apart for the colour of the volcanite, is that in the other two cameras I saw the slow speeds are from a Zorki 3, while in my camera looks from a Fed B. The bag too is from a Fed B.

Perhaps you could open a special thread about your Zorki?
It would be possible to compare it with Asquini's which is well documented...

Thanks. Jacques.

in my opinion there was a bigger offer than the last 2 years, but prices were quite high. so I did not buy anything. it was a pleasure nevertheless to look at the fair. there were also more visitors, maybe because of the weather, it was like summer...

Hello,

I bought 9 cameras (only 2 working, 7 will need hard work). I'm satisfied.

One may interest you. Fed 1e (top speed 1/1000) :

Among other things, I bought this interesting box with inside a 1957 Zorki 4 first model with slim rim, macro tubes, turret finder an a 1958 Jupiter 12 n°5800332 made in Luktarino, wich I think belongs to the first batch of lenses released from that factory. The box itself is quite luxurious, never seen a russian box with inside a so thick blue velvet.

Juhani,
yes, you should [:D]. Smena from two different parts (black and red) cost 1200,- euro!
There was also FED-Zorki (you see the camera on the photo) with a plate with engraving "ФЭД-Зоркий" for 1700,- euro. Seems that the interesting cameras were out of price. 1700€ for a Fed-Zoki... Perhaps it was a two cipher one? [:D]

Jed, what is the number of your 2/50mm Fed? Perhaps you could put the 1e S and its lens in the wiki: they are not so common.

Hello everybody,
Nice fair this year, a bit more attendance than last year, although some spaces were still vacant.
I did see the Fed Zorki @ €1700... Offered by the same Polish guys who attend each time, with consistently horrendous prices. Well, they'll have to sell it somewhere else to somebody else ! And they are somewhat abrupt if you try to discuss the price.
I saw a few sputniks, and the usual lot of Kiev/Zorkis/Fed.
I only bought a Start because it is an export version (Start in latin characters), they are not so common.
Best regards to all !
