The Orbita
Continuing the descripton of the odd mini collection I bought from Gilberto which was begun at Posted - Dec 10 2023 : 7:41:41 PM we place here our fourth stage goes around the Orbita camera that is a clever example of camera’s home construction.
As it was appointed previously at http://ussrphoto.com/Forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3633 Posted - Feb 09 2024 : 11:11:15 AM I begun prepairing the description of this camera. Moved by the Vlad post of BelOMO Orbita. http://ussrphoto.com/Forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3633 . which hás concidently the same name of the present “monster” I was particularly moved myself or pehaps astonished around the interest of my friends who got in contact this interesting piece. Two of them asked me to borrow the camera for some days, and was pleased to recieve photos they took of the camera. They did not use it, both critisizing its film loading system, and one of them claimed for the hardness of the winding knob. Easy to solve problems when it could pehaps become in a commercial production.
It was a commom sense that this camera deserves a detailed plan sheet in order to spread around physical possibilities and a conscious politics of home construction among photography lovers.
A this direction I became incumbed to draw its constrution plans which are here-in included.
Eeryone is free to download the complete Project for your delight in construct the beast.
I’m thinking in study or develop lens for the camera that can be both for panoramas or stereo pictures. Due its particular construction.
