Hello folks,

another camera of me. I had an ugly Zorki 1e (very bad body, but it works) and a broken Zorki C with bad nylon coverage.
So, I stripped off the nylon, took some sandpaper and some hours of time and that's the result:

Pretty nice! Did you put any covering on the top to preserve it shine?

Hi okynek,

I put Zapon lacquer on it. I don't know how this lacquer is called in english :-) It's a lacquer that dries within a few minutes and is very thin.

I was thinking to do such experiments with Zenit. I have few neglected Zenits what I besically saved from trash. As soon as I find time I'll put my Dramel to work.

hi men...
if you want to protect aluminium polished shinning , use a car aluminium wheels clear varnish in spray (that used by tuning men , you know ?)
you can get it in car accessories shop . This varnish is clear and very hard when dry (very quick drying).
